New Irrigation System in Atlanta

If your thinking about a new irrigation system in Atlanta be sure to ask the following questions: how long is my warranty and what does it cover? how long have you been in business? what type of products will you be using? do you provide backflow prevention? do you install a rain sensor? will there be a separate shut-off valve? So many companies don't take the time to tell you guys about your system and your spending a large sum of money for it so they should. If they don't ask them!

Sprinkler Repair Atlanta

Not only is it important to give your irrigation company as much information as possible about your irrigation system when scheduling them to come out to repair your system but ask if they provide you with any kind of warranty. Also, don't be fooled by irrigation companies in Atlanta that claim to have "no service fee" as more often than not they have a one hour minimum that exceeds most companies service fees with no minimum.

Irrigation Repair Atlanta

July will be smart irrigation month! We are looking forward to promoting smart, efficient irrigation practices even more than usual. With the rain moving in and Saturday & Sunday being watering days under our odd/even watering....it brings this thought to mind...do you have a rain sensor? Did your system water this morning or did you manually cut it off? If the answer to the last two questions are no, you need to get a rain sensor. Not only is it required it will automatically shut of your irrigation system when it rains.

New Irrigation System in Peachtree City

It is about 60% completed and our guys are getting some much needed rest before the busy week we have ahead. We are hopeful the rain will move out in time tomorrow for them to get a little more done and finish up on Monday so that we can stay on schedule for our next new irrigation system.

They even inspect the backflow prevention device to ensure it is working properly.

Irrigation Repair Atlanta

To meet the increasing needs of our customers, we are adding an additional service technician for this season. The greatest demand for irrigation repair Atlanta is still what we are calling a system restore which are those systems that have been virtually unused during the last couple of years. We are also receiving a lot of calls for people looking to expand or add-on to their existing systems. When we do an add-on, if the customer's budget allows, we try to ensure that all state and/or county requirements are met as well such as backflow prevention and rain sensors.

Sod & Irrigation

If your thinking about new sod and have an existing irrigation system, test it before you lay the sod to ensure it's working properly. This time of year irrigation companies in Atlanta tend to get backed up and you might find yourself in a not so favorable situation ofr irrigation repair in Atlanta.

If you don't have an existing irrigation system, plan to have your system installed before the sod is laid. This seems logical but many customers I'm coming across this season are thinking of this as an after thought.

Plan ahead to water your lawn!

Today we will complete a Hunter 4 zone irrigation system in Cumming with the Hunter Pro-C and highly efficient Hunter Solar Sync. Irrigation Backflow Prevention

Ok...today I'm going to vent. It is irresponsible and dangerous for an irrigation company to NOT install a backflow prevention device on a new irrigation system. The key to prevent contaminants such as fertilizers, pesticides and animal waste is simple...BACKFLOW PREVENTION. Valves are not sufficient to stop backflow and water pressure is not always constant enough to prevent backflow. More counties and cities are setting standards for backflow prevention and they need to. In the last two weeks alone, I've seen 6 systems without backflow (installed in the last 5 years) and my techs have seen even more. Don't gamble with your health. You can have a beautiful lawn and be safe about it. BACKFLOW PREVENTION is not only the law but THE SMART THING TO DO.

Atlanta Sprinkler Repair: Irrigation Valves

We are receiving numerous calls relating to valve problems with sprinkler systems this year. In about 75% of the cases, we are able to re-build the valve which is a more cost effective way to repair the problem as opposed to replacing the valve altogether.
In fact, for the first time in 10 years, I have a leaky valve on my system. By replacing parts and cleaning it, not only did I save myself time, but money as well. If your irrigation repair company tells you that you need a new valve, be sure to ask if repair is possible. It's not always possible but in some cases valves can be repaired.

New Irrigation System

Today we will finish up the new irrigation system in Sharpsburg. In addition to irrigation, our customer chose to do some drainage re-construction at the same time. Once her new landscaping is complete, he new yard should be nothing short of beautiful.
This customer researched and knew exactly what they were looking for in their new irrigation system. She also knew what she wanted from her irrigation contractor as well. Take a few minutes and research a little about irrigation and the irrigation company in Atlanta that you chose. It may save you a little trouble later.

Irrigation Project in Peachtree City

We received a wonderful customer review today:

"Gregg, the owner, approached this project with an understanding of our tight timeline. He was at our home very quickly for an estimate, and immediately followed up with a drawing and pricing confirmation. The installation crew members were polite and professional, and the job was both started and completed when Gregg said it would be. Team leader Scott took the time necessary to explain how the system worked and answered all of my questions. VP Carla was polite, professional, and very quick with complete responses to my questions, whether e-mailed or phoned in. I think the true measure of a company's commitment to customer service is how they handle things that may go wrong. We had a minor little issue - the TV/internet/phone cable was cut (very expected in this type of job). When I walked outside to mention it to Gregg, he was already aware, apologized, and had it repaired in about 5 minutes. As an added bonus, his team buried the cable appropriately (which was something the cable company had NOT done). We've had work done around our home (interior and exterior) over the years, and although I've been satisfied, I have never let a company put one of their 'advertising' signs in my front yard. I made an exception for Millenium. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and neighbors in the area." M.B. McCoy - Peachtree City

The anniversary of EARTH DAY is April 22nd. Do your part and plan an activity for your family or in your community. We are continuing our efforts in promoting more efficient irrigation practices in our service area. Check out our website for more information.

Irrigation Repair Atlanta

When having your irrigation repaired in Atlanta, ask the irrigation company to do a thorough inspection of your system to eliminate the need for a second service call and more expense. A simple visual inspection can tell an experienced irrigation contractor a lot of what is going on with you system. Minor adjustments can save you future watering costs.

Separate Irrigation System Meter

Having a separate irrigation meter is a great way to maximize your water savings by not paying sewer rates on the water used for to run your irrigation system. When planning for a new system, it is important that your irrigation contractor knows the laws and regulations in the city or county of your project. Some counties require separate irrigation meters and others, like Fulton County, won't allow them any longer. Do your research and make sure your irrigation contractor knows the rules to save you headaches and money later.

New Irrigation System Installation

Today will be the first of probably 3 days of a new irrigation system installation. This project has 6 zones (one of micro misters), a Pro-C controller and highly efficient Hunter Solar Sync. When installing an irrigation system in this county, you are required to get a separate irrigation meter. We are combining this with drainage correction and look forward to getting started.

Don't wait too long to get your sprinkler system repaired or you may find yourself stuck with that huge water bill!

New Irrigation System Installation

Today we'll do our part in the total lawn remodel for a customer in Peachtree City when we install her new irrigation system. We have worked with the landscape designer on this project to provide our customer with the system she needs to suit her newly designed lawn. Peachtree City is one of the few counties or cities that requires a permit and inspection of backflow prevention devices for irrigation. While backflow is provided, it must be test and therefore, a double check backflow device is required. We use double check backflow devices on all of our new irrigation installations as they provide the highest protection for your water.

Sprinkler System Spring Start-Ups: Not what they used to be

After the water restrictions from our drought in Atlanta and limited time last year to water, we are overwhelmed with phone calls from people wanting to start their systems up this year. We are finding that the limited usage over the last 2-3 years in conjunction with this year's extreme cold are making some start-ups more complicated than usual. It is important to properly maintain your irrigation system every year just like having the oil changed in your car. Preventative maintenance goes a long way. We are still running our $99 spring start-up special through April 30th and may extend it due to the number of calls we are receiving. Keep in mind though your system may require more work than a standard spring start-up if it hasn't been used in the last couple of years.

New Irrigation System in Marietta

We will start a highly efficient new irrigation system in Marietta this morning. This system is a Hunter MP Rotator system that provides superior watering with maximum efficiency. The customer has chosen to install some much needed drainage at the same time. This customer spent many hours researching, checking references and chose my company for her new installation. New Sprinkler System

If your still thinking about a new sprinkler system, now is the time to move forward as things progress through the spring many companies find themselves running a few weeks before being able to start your new irrigation system installation. Don't forget the importance of a rain sensor and backflow prevention device which are state required but often skipped by some contractors.

Atlanta Sprinkler Repair: Cost & Experience

Some companies claim no service fee and quite often have a 1 hour minimum time that often exceeds another companies service fee. At my company we do charge a small service fee which includes unlimited time of diagnosis except in the case of electrical troubleshooting.

New Irrigation Project in Jonesboro

Still thinking about a new irrigation system, now is definitely the time to move on your plans. Be sure to use a reputable atlanta irrigation company that follows the proper state requirements.

Spring Start-up: Irrigation/Lawn Sprinkler

When starting up your irrigation/lawn sprinkler system be sure to consider any new plantings or growth so that the system will properly and efficiently cover those areas. If your plants or shrubs are drought resistant or require no more than natural rainfall, consider capping the zone or the heads so that you can save that water! A full Spring Start-Up completed by a reputable irrigation company in Atlanta should ensure that your system is working at it's best and they should also make recommendations for improvements.

Take the time to start your system up and check it out thoroughly to avoid costly repairs or water bills later. When chosing an irrigation company in Atlanta to repair your system look for experience in repairs as these can often be complex and expensive if your technician doesn't have the experience necessary to diagnosis your problem.

Do it yourself spring start-up

So you want to save a little money this...which we are understand things have been hard. Here are a couple of tips to help you do so. Run a short 3-4 minutes on each of your irrigation system zones. Check for heads spraying improperly there could be several reasons for this from grass, debris to broken heads or nozzles. Check all valve boxes to see if you see water in those. Watch for spots of water in between heads (along irrigation lines) or pooling at the head which could indicate a problem with the head. If you spot anything or need advice, ask us and we'll try to help you. Don't forget that if you winterized your system to turn the shut off back on to re-pressurize the system first.
