New Irrigation System Sprinkler Heads

It is very important that the sprinkler heads selected for your new irrigation system be placed properly and that they are the right type for the landscape you are watering. Also of importance is the nozzle in those sprinkler heads that dictates the actual amount of water being put on your landscape. Your new irrigation system should never contain a mixture of rotors and sprayers on the same irrigation zone. Mixing of rotors and sprayers causes severe uneven watering because the rate of water flow is so different between those two types of sprinkler heads.

Sprinkler System Installation

We were able to have a very productive last few days in spite of the rain south of Atlanta on Saturday afternoon. We completed a 7 zone irrigation system in Hampton, 3zone irrigation system in Acworth, and a two zone Rainbird irrigation system add-on in Kennesaw. Today we're off to Locust Grove to work on our next project with another consumer who took the time to learn more about new irrigation systems which was pretty easy for him - he's a former fire marshal.

Irrigation Backflow Prevention

Ok...today I'm going to vent. It is irresponsible and dangerous for an irrigation company to NOT install a backflow prevention device on a new irrigation system. The key to prevent contaminants such as fertilizers, pesticides and animal waste is simple...BACKFLOW PREVENTION. Valves are not sufficient to stop backflow and water pressure is not always constant enough to prevent backflow. More counties and cities are setting standards for backflow prevention and they need to. In the last two weeks alone, I've seen 6 systems without backflow (installed in the last 5 years) and my techs have seen even more. Don't gamble with your health. You can have a beautiful lawn and be safe about it. BACKFLOW PREVENTION is not only the law but THE SMART THING TO DO.

New Irrigation System

Today we will finish up the new irrigation system in Sharpsburg. In addition to irrigation, our customer chose to do some drainage re-construction at the same time. Once her new landscaping is complete, he new yard should be nothing short of beautiful.
This customer researched and knew exactly what they were looking for in their new irrigation system. She also knew what she wanted from her irrigation contractor as well. Take a few minutes and research a little about irrigation and the irrigation company in Atlanta that you chose. It may save you a little trouble later.

Separate Irrigation System Meter

Having a separate irrigation meter is a great way to maximize your water savings by not paying sewer rates on the water used for to run your irrigation system. When planning for a new system, it is important that your irrigation contractor knows the laws and regulations in the city or county of your project. Some counties require separate irrigation meters and others, like Fulton County, won't allow them any longer. Do your research and make sure your irrigation contractor knows the rules to save you headaches and money later.

New Irrigation System Installation

Today we'll do our part in the total lawn remodel for a customer in Peachtree City when we install her new irrigation system. We have worked with the landscape designer on this project to provide our customer with the system she needs to suit her newly designed lawn. Peachtree City is one of the few counties or cities that requires a permit and inspection of backflow prevention devices for irrigation. While backflow is provided, it must be test and therefore, a double check backflow device is required. We use double check backflow devices on all of our new irrigation installations as they provide the highest protection for your water.

New Sprinkler System

If your still thinking about a new sprinkler system, now is the time to move forward as things progress through the spring many companies find themselves running a few weeks before being able to start your new irrigation system installation. Don't forget the importance of a rain sensor and backflow prevention device which are state required but often skipped by some contractors.
