Do it yourself spring start-up

So you want to save a little money this...which we are understand things have been hard. Here are a couple of tips to help you do so. Run a short 3-4 minutes on each of your irrigation system zones. Check for heads spraying improperly there could be several reasons for this from grass, debris to broken heads or nozzles. Check all valve boxes to see if you see water in those. Watch for spots of water in between heads (along irrigation lines) or pooling at the head which could indicate a problem with the head. If you spot anything or need advice, ask us and we'll try to help you. Don't forget that if you winterized your system to turn the shut off back on to re-pressurize the system first. Walk through each zone as it runs and check it out. This will help you to avoid costly repairs later. You can learn more about our $99 spring start-up on our website.

Tips to know you have a sprinkler system leak

We have been getting a number of calls regarding leaking sprinkler and irrigation systems. The first obvious sign that you could have a sprinkler system leak is an increase in your water bill - which most placed upon showing the repair invoice - will credit a portion of the increase. We had a customer last week with a $2,000 water bill. Also, look for wet spots that are new in any part of your yard. Water sometimes travels in mysterious ways but most times the leak is in that general area. Also, if you notice something out of the ordinary, locate your shut-off valve and turn the system off until repairs can be made. For more information on our repair services, check the website.
