We are often asked "if one of my valves is bad aren't the others soon to follow?" Well, on an older system with all the same valves it is quite possible but not absolute. With newer systems, there is no way to tell whether or not just because one irrigation valve went bad another one will follow suit. I've seen valves last fifteen years or more. So the answer is one of those unsures.

If your irrigation repair company tells you that you need a new valve, be sure to ask if repair is possible. It's not always possible but in some cases valves can be repaired.
