Irrigation Systems Atlanta

For proper and uniform distribution of watering and to avoid wet/dry spots, the sprinkler heads in your new irrigation system should be properly spaced and reach "head to head" to ensure that you don't have any overly wet or dry spots. Ask your irrigation company if you are not sure about the placement of your new sprinkler heads. Sometimes in unsually shaped areas placement of sprinkler heads do not look correct to the untrained eye. So be sure to ask because sometimes sprinkler nozzles and adjustments are what is planned to ensure "head to head" coverage.

Sprinkler Repair Atlanta

Not only is it important to give your irrigation company as much information as possible about your irrigation system when scheduling them to come out to repair your system but ask if they provide you with any kind of warranty. Also, don't be fooled by irrigation companies in Atlanta that claim to have "no service fee" as more often than not they have a one hour minimum that exceeds most companies service fees with no minimum.

Spring Start-up: Irrigation/Lawn Sprinkler

When starting up your irrigation/lawn sprinkler system be sure to consider any new plantings or growth so that the system will properly and efficiently cover those areas. If your plants or shrubs are drought resistant or require no more than natural rainfall, consider capping the zone or the heads so that you can save that water! A full Spring Start-Up completed by a reputable irrigation company in Atlanta should ensure that your system is working at it's best and they should also make recommendations for improvements.

Preparing your existing irrigation system for Spring!

Besides checking out the working condition of your sprinkler system, when you considering projects this spring like decks, patios, etc. be sure you consider the impact on your irrigation system. Sprinkler heads can often be moved or capped. Make sure you think about this BEFORE your project because trying to correct it afterwards often increases the expense.

Full coverage and Proper Irrigation System Design

Today someone asked me about "full coverage" and what exactly it meant when it comes to irrigation system installation.
Full coverage is head-to-head coverage in conjunction with proper precipitation rates. Meaning, your sprinkler head spray should touch all heads in its' spray area. Another important factor in proper irrigation system design is precipitation rates. This is where nozzles become important.
A qualified irrigation contractor or irrigation company in Atlanta will further address flow rate and other technical aspects required for proper design. These are all important factors in the design and installation of your new irrigation system. Remember, chose wisely, chose effectively and water efficiently.
